The world’s population is far above 7 billion,
as many kiss the world goodbye, so do many open the door to life so they could
make the Earth their abode, but here now, is you and I on the planet living
till the day of our last breath. One truth that stares at every man in the face
but some still fail to realize is the peculiarity of you and I among the
numerous men on the Earth.
Sometimes ago, i was thinking about my family
and suddenly the thoughts of the kind of personality my elder ones possessed
splashed my mind. I as the last child of our parents and been far younger than
all my sibling gave me a privilege to consider the ways of my elder sibling, it
does amaze me the wisdom, courage, intelligence, kindness, generosity,
endurance, spiritual consciousness, trustworthiness, and many other virtues
they have as attribute on different level, but I must say I have also seen
faults in them that puzzle me. I have learnt from their ways but i have to live
my life too and prove that i am fit for this life, it dazes me, the countless
mistakes and failures i have had but i have been also grateful for it because
above all, i have had some level of achievements and fulfillment in every area
of my life. I have been able to see that every individual of my nuclear family
stands out, because each one of us have had different experience as regards
every sphere of life, possesses unlike personality and have diverse story to
tell even though we were from the same womb and of the same father but we
complement each other to make the family, a beautiful and interesting one.
The beautiful days that would remain in my
memory till i pass away, are the days when every member of my family are able
to gather together in our home, then everyone talks about things that happened
to them and current situations in each one’s life, we laugh and we cry when we
need to, we bless those who do well to anyone of us and we show dislike for the
actions of those that did wrong to us, we cuddle each other, settle our
misunderstandings, wine and dine, and above all, we sing at the top of our
voices because everyone could sing well and lastly we pray. Our parent blesses
us and we look forward to another time like this because it makes us feel
refreshed and equipped for the future.
Give it a try today; you will bless yourself
for giving it a try, if you have never had this experience in your family,
maybe for any reason, it’s better to make it happen now than never.
I want to remind you that you are the only you
God has made, He fashioned you to standout. You are the only you God made
because He knew if there is exactly another you in every manner before you
arrived the world, you will only be useless as long as the person live and who
knows if the person will outlive you,
and God forbids your life been a waste. Every man has a unique destiny and a
special purpose to fulfill on earth.
I do tell my mama whenever she jokingly says to
me; ‘we never knew we would have a child after your immediate sister but you
stubbornly came after several years but i know you are here for a purpose’, and my response to her has always
been, ‘this family would never be complete and interesting without me, i am
here to make this family better, to represent and make this family proud around
the globe and declare the glory of the Lord in the land of the living’. The
smile on her face at my response confirms that’s her prayer for me day and
night.
Remember your family and the world needs you,
this is why your personality, your voice, your experience, your challenges,
your knowledge and understanding about life is different from that of everyone
in the world. You standout to fill a
space in life no one can rightly fit into; your uniqueness is your residence
permit to dwell on earth.
Don’t lose yourself to just imitating those who
appreciate who they are, striving and developing themselves on daily basis, and
has found their place in life and are working towards fulfillment of their
purpose and mission on earth. The original you is what is needed in life’s
struggles not a copycat of another person.
It is a good thing to admire people of pleasant
personality, tap from their wisdom, learn from their mistakes and set standards
for yourself that depicts the kind of life you want. A thorough imitation of
the life of your mentor or role model is a channel to doom, because, there have
never been two men in history with same biography, the likeness in their life
may be slightly similar situation but always a different reaction and outcome,
plus a different victim and a different victor. Maybe it only happens when
people are having a sense of déjà vu.
I will like us to look into the Bible (Acts
13:22) in the corner of our room,
the verse talked about David whom God called a man after His heart. David was a
valiant warrior and a great king; he is such a man anyone would which to have
his kind of personality and success but his son (King Solomon) which he had from
the woman (Bathsheba) that he snatched from one of his soldiers (Uriah) left
for me and you, a lesson about living to standout for a great contribution to
the world.
God loved King Solomon;
he walked in the statutes of David his father and sought God for wisdom and a
discerning heart. In his dreams God
promised him wealth and honor, so that in his life time, there wouldn’t be his
equal among kings.
King Solomon became
very great, abounds in wealth and honor. His wisdom amazes kings, queens and everyone
till date, and above all he had the peace his father never had.
He stands out and
made his contribution to the world, his touch on life can still be felt today.
I want to encourage you that your gifts,
talents, and every potential you have, makes you to standout and it’s a reason
for you find your place in life and contribute to betterment of your family and
the world.
You are fashioned to standout, which is why you
have your experiences, your struggles and your life is your life!
I pray that the grace to standout and not be a
copycat will be reactivated in you. Stay blessed.
