Kris Jenner, mother of Kim Kardashian replies president Barrack Obama over his statement during his interview at Amazon's warehouse in Tennessee Monday (August 5). president Obama said:

"The American dream involved some pretty basic stuff, a good job where you felt some security, a good education," O said in an interview with Kindle Singles. "People felt if they worked hard they could get there, I don't think people went around saying to themselves, 'I need to have a 10,000-square-foot house' ... I think there has also been a shift in culture. We weren't exposed to the things we didn't have in the same way that kids these days are. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success."

Kris Jenner said President Obama was criticizing her daughter and kanye,

"I find it so odd that he’s picking on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Well, Kanye West, first of all, doesn’t go on vacation. Ever. And Kim Kardashian is the hardest-working young lady in the world. She never sleeps, she never stops, she never slows down and works so hard for what she’s got. So I started thinking about her 10,000 square foot house and I thought, “Wow, her job affords her to live in a 10,000 square foot house.” And I think, if I’m not mistaken, that Mr. President’s job affords him to live in a 55,000 square foot house."

Well, in my opinion I don't think president Barrack Obama was criticizing Kim and Kanye. What I got out of what he said was that people don't need to base their "dream" on someone else's dream, and that fame isn't America's dream, you don't need to live an extravagant lifestyle to say you are living the American dream. So i think he is not saying Americans should not dream big.

Also i believe President Obama does not have anything against kanye because in an April 2012 interview with the Atlantic, Barack opted for HOV over Yeezus. “Although I like Kanye... He’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented," he said. The interviewer than asked, “Even though you called him a jackass?” Obama responded with, “He is a jackass...But he’s talented.”
