2013 wasn't all peaches and cream for the Young Money rapper. In March, he was rushed to the hospital after suffering several seizures. His experimental I Am Not a Human Being II album, also released in March, barely fueled the same results as its chart-topping predecessor Tha Carter IV. (I Am Not a Human Being II peaked at No. 2 on the charts and has sold half a million copies to date, compared to Tha Carter IV 3.5 million.) As a result his name was omitted from the BET and VMA nominees lists.
Weezy took to Twitter to apologize for his absence in the awards.
