"Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is
the experience of being fully engaged in whatever I'm doing."
-- Phil Jackson, basketball coach
There is something that
a lot of us have not taken time to think of and that’s one thing that makes us
unique and makes our story line a totally different one from that of others and
no matter how uninteresting it may seem to us at first, I am sure if you play
your character well, the end of the story will definitely be comedic and
glorious. Your story line has been scripted perfectly by God, so that no matter
how rough your beginning maybe the end will be smooth and colourful.
Do you know that chances
of you being born are so minute and it is practically zero, the chances of your
parents meeting is in itself a miracle. You are a designed Miracle!
In these challenging
times of crisis, complexity and competition, we need to remember that most
great people have suffered through failure, often many times before they have reached
their potential.
Yet most people do not achieve a fraction of what they are capable of achieving because they are afraid they will fail. Successful people look at mistakes as outcomes or results, not as failures. On the other hand unsuccessful people look at mistakes as permanent and personal.
Yet most people do not achieve a fraction of what they are capable of achieving because they are afraid they will fail. Successful people look at mistakes as outcomes or results, not as failures. On the other hand unsuccessful people look at mistakes as permanent and personal.
Some people who seem to
have been born to lose turn out to be the most inspiring examples of the
triumph of the human spirit.
You are one man with one
life and this one life-time opportunity you have got is enough for you to leave
your name on the sand of the Earth. Most of the time you would have asked
yourself this question “Why me?” It is a question everyone on earth has asked
themselves at one point or the other. We all come to a state of confusion at
some stages of our life and we just keep asking ‘Why?’ But life is designed
this way, no one is free of challenges, confrontation and trials of life
because after every adversity we come out stronger and fit to face the future.
Life is trying, that’s one thing that makes life interesting. It gives you the
opportunity to be occupied and to keep fighting to make your future better and
it is never a dull moment.
We get to some state in
our life, when everything seems to be totally out of control and all you can
imagine or see is that you are living life for the sake of living.
At this point, your life
is just experiencing a proper check-up by the Host of Heaven, to be edited,
re-organized, upgraded and well beautified from above by Jehovah the Most High
and ready for the next phase of your life and you can say to the universe ' I
am back and better'
Your fingerprints are
different from anyone else's on this earth. You are a unique combination of DNA
that has never been, and will never be seen again in the world. While you're
here, I want you to find out what you love to do most, and do it to the best.
A Chinese proverb says "Do not fear going
forward slowly; fear only to stand still.
At times you may feel you are not moving at the
speed you projected for yourself but know this that even most times slow and
steady wins the race and know this that the worst that could happen to any man
is remain at a spot and there is no way one would remain at a spot and not
degenerate.
Take a good look at someone running on a
treadmill, you may feel the person is at a spot but the simple truth is that this
simple activity has great effect on the physical system of such person. What I
want you to pick from this is that, the efforts and time you invest in
whatsoever you do now may seems not to bring any result but they are actually
accumulating up to give you a big shot and then finally paying off when you
least expect.
Remember! The
race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.
Do you have ideas or attitudes about yourself
and your abilities that may be holding you back from great success and
happiness?
In her book You Can Heal Your
Life, author Louise Hay says that each one of us
has the feelings of inferiority that are manifested in the conclusion that we
are not good enough.
We think that we are not as good as other
people, and we feel that we are not good enough to acquire and enjoy the things
that we want in life. These are self-limiting beliefs most of which are NOT
true; but hold us all back nonetheless.
Like the topic of this week’s message, know
this for sure that your story is a platform for glory, your day to day
activities, experience, meetings, decisions, actions and so on are definitely
meant to align together to bring about glory if properly, positively and
consistently structured and worked on by you. Give your best to make sure the
script of your life is one the world would love to hear, tell of and learn from
that could impact the people of Earth positively even when you are no more and
have gone to the world beyond.
