D'banj Launches Song In Addis Ababa

Popular Nigerian Singer and Song-writer Dapo Oyebanjo, aka D’banj on Wednesday in Addis Ababa launched a song "Do Agric, It pays", to urge African leaders to commit 10 per cent of their national budgets to agriculture.

D’banj song was launched as part of  a South Africa base Civil Society Organisation "The ONE" campaign effort to push political leaders to adopt better policies that would  boost productivity, increase incomes and reduce poverty.

Gaddafi's Rape Chambers Revealed in BBC Documentary

new documentary by BBC reveals for the first time former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s rape chambers, where – after kidnapping girls and boys from their schools – they were tortured, raped and made to watch pornography.

"Some were only 14," remembered one teacher at a Tripoli school, where one of the chambers existed. "They would simply take the girl they wanted. They had no conscience, no morals, not an iota of mercy, even though she was a mere child."

A prayer to get your day going.

It is called The Prayer of Jabez:

Breaking Through to the Blessed Life is a book Bruce Wilkinson published in 2000 by Multnomah Books as the first book in the "BreakThrough" book series. It is based on the Old Testament passage 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

''Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, saying, "Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from the evil one." And God granted his request''.

In the book, Wilkinson encourages Christians to invoke this prayer for themselves on a daily basis:

I challenge you to make the Jabez prayer for blessing part of the daily fabric of your life. To do that, I encourage you to follow unwaveringly the plan outlined here for the next thirty days. By the end of that time, you'll be noticing significant changes in your life, and the prayer will be on its way to becoming a treasured, lifelong habit.

The book became an international bestseller, topping the New York Times bestseller list and selling nine million copies. It received the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Gold Medallion Book of the Year award in 2001.

I am one lucky girl, God gave me my best friend, my partner, the "yang" to my YIN, and my Fav person in the world. We are soooooooo different but somehow our differences are so little in comparison to the acceptance we have of each other. This guy accepts me for who I am. He understands and listens to me. Never one to judge, a gentle heart and after all is said and done, thru the years and thru everything we have been thru, I will do it all again with you. I can confidently say I love you more than I did yesterday and our journey, our experiences what we have learnt was all for a time as this. Sometimes you might be what that person needs to see life differently, I am loving every minute of this new journey. Love you Mr A #darkchild #loveletter #romanticist #family.

We all need one another (Part 3)

We all need one another (Part 3)

I can see the world gaining back its splendor and beauty, re-activating its true taste and aroma, and recovering back its greenness and becoming more productive, if only we can embrace and manifest the ideal plan of God for us “We all need one another”.

The basis of life is people and how they relate and co-exist together. How well we are able to communicate and relate effectively with one another determines the level of success, fulfillment, happiness and joy we can all attain. There is no other way around this, all we need to do, is key into the ultimate plan and purpose of God for man that many have unknowingly ignored and seen to be worthless to human existence.

We are not here to rule of conquer each other, it should be that we give an helping hand to our neighbor and be there for whoever is need irrespective of our different race, language, culture and background, in any corner of the Earth we are positioned. Good and healthy competition is important amidst us to encourage and keep those who fail to stand up to live the life of their dreams on their foot and have an assurance that the impossible is possible, if only you can believe and take bold steps and actions to make it come true, but we are not here to strive against one another. We are not here to push the next person besides us down, so that people can see our head up and we are not on the surface of the Earth to break each other’s neck to achieve greatness and make our individual dreams come true. There is always two ways to making things happen in life, it’s either straight or crooked path, positive or negative way and selfish or selfless means. We all have the right to make a choice, but what choices do we all find easy to make? We make choices that we find easy and actualizes one’s self desires even though it kills and break our neighbor.

The purpose of man on Earth, if properly understood, is totally different from what we all put to play to a very high degree in our daily lives. We are here to love, cherish, admonish, care, appreciate, respect, support, protect, and understand each other. We should live together in harmony and bring out the best in each other; the world will not hesitate to bless us all in return.

The way of life can be regained, the way of life can be sweet, loving, beautiful and free again, all we need do is eliminate greed, selfishness, hatred and all manner of evil that has poisoned men’s soul. Nothing can stand the uniqueness of the joy, peace, productivity, happiness, fulfillment, beauty and feats that would emanate from living in harmony, loving our neighbor as ourselves and driving for success in unity.

We all need one another (Part 2)

We all need one another (Part 2)

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NKJV)
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.

"We need each other, deeper than anyone ever dares to admit even to themselves. I think it is a genetic imperative that we huddle together and hold on to each other. There is no question in my mind that there is nothing else in life, really, than friendship."  -- Patch Adams

There world has continued to have a good reason to move from sunrise to sunset and season to season, not for anything but for me and you. The Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness but HE has positioned you and i to dwell in it and have dominion over the things of the Earth, which means God appreciate the word ‘WE, OUR, and US’ and not just going about exhibiting ‘ME, MYSELF, and I’ attitude, it makes the world tasteless.

I like to tell of something that happened few days ago, there is this lady, my friends has told me about her attitude and how they don’t want to have anything to do with her but i made them realize i would talk to her and she would be my friend, i knew she isn’t a bad person but she has been too conscious of people’s actions towards her and she is just always ready to fight back even when the person mean no harm. I did talk to her and she does respond each time i do but one day i experienced the same outburst from her because i was kidding with her and she knew but she started to see it like i was making jest of her and she said nasty things to me. I felt bad, decided never to talk to her and i start to ignore her because my friends then made me a laughing stock but i don’t feel happy ignoring her. In the beginning of this year, i saw her, called on her and she walked up to me without any grudge, then i tried to settle with her and she thanked me for doing so, i said sorry to her even when i knew i wasn’t wrong. Few days later, i was at the bus-stop to board the bus, then i saw her running from far to catch up with the bus but i knew she can’t make it there because the bus would leave immediately i step into the bus, i was the last passenger, i thought of what to do to help, so i spoke to the driver to kindly wait for her and the driver unbelievably agreed. The driver waited till she came and i saw her thanking the driver, she didn’t know till now that i made it happen but i was glad i helped somebody. If we haven’t settled at this time, it’s possible i act wickedly and she would have to stay back in the cold for another 1 hour waiting for the next bus. She also explained something about a course that was unclear to me few days later. The moral of this short story is that, that next person to you, you least thought could have any relevance to your life at one time or the other, might be the one to play a substantial role in an event or situation of your life, learn to control and direct the force of the relationship you keep with everyone you come across in life to creating a better you and upholding a peaceful, colourful, and healthy atmosphere around you.

We all need one another

We all need one another

Remember, we all stumble, every one of us.  That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand.  ---Emily Kimbrough

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. --- Bill Wilson

Today, I have decided to open your eyes and trigger your mind back to something very important and compulsorily unavoidable that you might have started to lose the  grip, on the value to your life and its significance in making you live a healthy, happy and successful life. It is nothing else than chains of people that are connected to your life and their relevance to making your life meaningful and fun-filled.

If you trace the life of Man back to the beginning of the world, you will discover that, after God had created the first man (Adam), God saw that the life of the first man would be very boring, meaningless and would not be productive. So, He created the second man (Eve –woman) to be the companion, to think together, wine and dine, quarrel to settle, device plans together, take actions, do exploits, be productive and enjoy the goodness of life in harmony.

If you check again, you will see that the ultimate reason God created both the first and second man, was to bless them to give birth to so many men to populate the Earth, to co-habit and also have a taste of what life has to offer and that’s the reason YOU and I are here on the planet today. This is because we can’t do without each other, the primary aim of God for me and you is to co-exist, make the world a better place for ourselves, lean on each other in times of despair and trouble, lift each other up when another falls and help one another to carry on by supporting each other with whatever we have at our disposal that God has blessed us with. We have not come here to rub shoulders with each other, competing and striving against fellow man is totally against the plan of God for us all. If we don’t relent from the act of wanting to push the next person to you down and thinking only you, should be celebrated, the end thereof is eternal guilt and pain (Check the story of Cain and Abel; Genesis 4:1 :15)
It is so clear that we all on Earth have likely the same ending which is death after exploring and exploiting the Earth, manifesting our individual destiny and fulfilling the divine purpose of God for our lives. If you think about the mission of man on earth very well, then you will value everyone around you, even if they despise, detest, reproach, and envy you. Sincerely, I have seen that whatever any man does to another man ends up helping directly or indirectly the man the deed was done to. This has made me to learn to cherish every man irrespective of their thoughts, attitude, and actions towards me. All you need to do is place value on every relationship you have, be it sour or sweet because the value you place on any relationship will come back to add value to your life. One thing so important, you have to find out, is how the relationship would impact your life positively and what are you ready to give into it.

Your life, Your responsibility!!!

Your life, Your responsibility!!!

”To achieve major success – You must assume 100% responsibility for your life.”

-Jack Canfield

I like to welcome you again into this awesome year 2014, it has a lot in stock for you to attract and possess. The 365 days in this year are definitely arranged a day after the other for you to employ to your greatest possible advantage, you will be accountable for the outcome of every single day and the sum of whatever results you get from each day is what 2014 testimonial would be . It is a new beginning for me and you, and I believe you already began to make good use of the first few days of this year and if you are still relaxed, it is time to wake up, tighten your seatbelt and let’s fly.

Every day of this year and the opportunities in it, is saying to you now to write on the tablet of your heart and mind that “I have no excuse to waste the day and its opportunities because I have to maximally utilize opportunities presented to me at every tick of the clock”. I want you to always remember this, that the 60 seconds every minute, 60 minutes every hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is all because of you to enjoy, explore, exploit, embrace and entertain goodness, greatness, glory, and good people. If you refuse to do this or do less expected of you, you should also be prepared for pain and poor state of life that comes with it but I know this is not yours because you will grab your destiny in your hand and make the best of  it.

Human beings are naturally active and give in their best to whatever task they are given to do when closely watched and supervised by someone or monitored by some kind of camera especially in this age where camera are positioned in every corner of work places. We do our best to satisfy our supervisor not because we really want to but because we know we would face some kind of punishment. The simple truth is that we only fool ourselves by keeping an attitude like this, because our joy abounds when we choose to do what we are supposed to do either supervised, monitored or not. I think it would be nice to inform you that the TIME is the supervisor and monitor, the Master of the Universe (God) has placed on Earth to appraise the works of our hand and give to us rewards according to how much we utilize our time. Think of it from today, that there is a camera monitoring your decisions, actions and attitudes towards the use of your time on daily basis, maybe this will keep you up on your feet and make you strive to possess your possession and live the life indeed, God has designed and prepared you for.
